"出行改变中国－CPN首届中国城市交通国际年会"是由中国发展与规划国际论坛(China Planning Network, CPN)联合麻省理工学院(MIT)、中国科学技术协会(CAST)、新华社瞭望周刊社(Xinhua News Agency Outlook)共同发起主办的国内最高规格和规模的国际高峰论坛，活动联合了包括麻省理工学院、新华社瞭望周刊社、中国科学技术协会、世界银行、全球可持续发展联盟、哈佛美中经互论坛、国家发改委、建设部、科技部、清华大学、美国规划协会、美国规划院校联合会、美国国家交通研究中心、美国交通运输学会、交通研究世界大会、国际公共交通联合会、美国公共交通协会、大伦敦交通委员会、大芝加哥公共交通运营局等在内的，众多国内外权威机构共同主办，是中国城市管理及城市交通发展决策层、精英学者及业界领袖与海外同行的最高峰会，涉及了全球范围内城市管理及城市交通发展相关领域最重要的管理机构、最知名的研究机构、最具实力的投资机构、最具影响力的产业集团，以及最重要的领域及问题。

会议于2007年8月2日至4日在北京举行，其中大会全体会议已于8月2日在人民大会堂召开，大会各专题论坛于8月3-4日于北京国际会议中心展开。全球范围内最权威的资深专家学者及业界领袖汇聚北京，推动中国城市管理及城市交通发展国际合作模式的建构，引领该领域世界最前沿技术解决策略的本土化发展方向。
